5 mobile advertising trends to watch out for in 2015 | Emarketing | Scoop.it

Emerging markets will continue to outshine developed markets when it comes to growth in smartphone and mobile internet penetration. While mobile and PC have often been treated alike by marketers, there is a radical difference in the way consumers interact with these two media.

Marketers need to adapt to this evolving consumer behaviour with a mobile-only strategy.Marketers can leverage user data to create customised mobile ad campaigns that serve ads that are contextually relevant and target the right user...

Tablet users visit a site 5 times before buying and other mobile commerce facts

Tablet users visit a site 5 times before buying and other mobile commerce facts | Emarketing | Scoop.it

The main point of the piece is that tablets aren’t exactly the “one-click” wonders we expect them to be. Few, if any customers sit down with a tablet, go right to the product they want and buy it with a single tap. I can hear you rolling your eyes and sighing. . . ‘well, of course not’ but there are mobile apps that let you can buy just that easily – Amazon, eBay, any site that takes Apple Pay...

Here’s what customers do before they hit the “buy” button:
They visit a site 5 times before making the decision to buy
They spend an average of 18 minutes poking around on the site
During an average session, a buyer will click 70 times on a website, looking at different items, checking out options, viewing images, etc.

WHICH 50 : Mobile now accounts for 30% of global ecommerce | Emarketing | Scoop.it

Eyeballs have been shifting aggressively to mobile in recent years but the bucks - at least for ecommerce - remained anchored to the desktop. That is now changing according to a new study by Criteo.

The advertising optimization platform analyzed individual transaction data covering over $130 billion of annual sales across more than 3,000 online retailers and travel advertisers recently and discovered that across its extensive network mobile now accounts for almost 30 per cent of ecommerce transactions.

And the company predicts that it will reach 50 per cent in the US in the near term.Criteo also outlines what it sees as five new mobile shopping trends....

#Mobile Will Revive & Redefine #Content #Marketing

#Mobile Will Revive & Redefine #Content #Marketing | Emarketing | Scoop.it
Since the dawn of the digital age, brands have recognized that success depends on their ability to build rich relationships with consumers hungry for engaging content and personalized experience. Nearly three decades later, mobile and in turn, mobile marketing, has the capacity to do just that: engage the consumer personally in real time with targeted, relevant context. Still, running digitized content on mobile without thoughtfully taking into consideration the complexity of the mobile platform will not instantly catalyze consumer engagement.
Successful content marketing models must integrate and elevate the experience of the consumer while on a mobile device. Brands must present something valuable to get something valuable in return.

5 Medical Technologies to Watch in 2015: Mobile Medical Apps | MDDI Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry News Products and Suppliers

5 Medical Technologies to Watch in 2015: Mobile Medical Apps | MDDI Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry News Products and Suppliers | Emarketing | Scoop.it

More than five years ago, Apple sold consumers on mobile applications by telling them no matter what they want to do, “there’s an app for that.” The same couldn’t be said for healthcare providers and patients.

Last July, there were more than 1.5 billion apps in the iTunes and Google Play stores combined. Less than 2% of them—fewer than 28,000—were classified as medical, according to the publication iMedicalApps.

But thanks to FDA’s risk-based regulatory framework, announced in September 2013, and predictions that the market for mobile medical apps could grow to 26-billion users by 2017, more companies are starting to try their hand at mobile medical apps.

“2014 was the year of the app,” says Steve Wilcox, founder of Philadelphia design firm Design Science.

Consumer tech giants Apple, Google, and Microsoft grabbed headlines with platforms that enable more health and fitness app development, while several traditional medical device companies launched notable apps as well. One is Dexcom’s Follow, which is used in conjunction with a docking cradle to enable diabetics to share data from their continuous glucose monitors.

AliveCor also got FDA clearance for an algorithm to detect atrial fibrillation using its ECG smartphone attachment and app.
As developers become more familiar with FDA regulation, expect to see mobile medical apps jump from simply cool to clinically useful.

When all is said and done I tried to explain to elderly relatives Search Engine Optimization. My story is about how there's a big ocean out there and trying to find something, somewhere in the ocean is just about impossible. WIth Search Engine Optimization you can go from being on the ocean floor to above the surface where you improve your chances of being found. With more of the right work and efforts you can be more visible, many even as big as a Cruiseship sailing on the Ocean. Sadly too many millions of people have #businesses and #content  #online that might as well be on the ocean floor because it will not be seen. They should just put a sign on the front door of the business. #SEO help needed here.
