Frank Orman's insight:

What is Web Copy?

It’s what’s on your landing page, your about page, your products and services pages.

The word “copy,” in this context, means advertising or publicity writing.

What is Web Content?

Blog posts are web content, as are video, images etc.

Web content is written with the purpose of attracting new eyes to your website.

Top notch web content is the sort of stuff people absolutely devour and want to share immediately across all their social networks.

By posting quality, fresh content to your blog regularly, you’ll see your website rising up the ranks in Google.

Web content for your business can also be posted on other websites.

Test sign-ups like any other conversion metric. Focus on how you can show visitors the value of your newsletter and test different ways of communicating that value to them.

Actively create content your readership hungers for and then consistently connect that content from your blog to social media. You should ideally spend more time promoting the content than writing it.

Stop Designing Pages And Start Designing Flows – Smashing Magazine

Stop Designing Pages And Start Designing Flows – Smashing Magazine | LeadGenerators' Brain Food | Scoop.it
Design flows that are tied to clear objectives allow us to create a positive user experience and a valuable one for the business we’re working for.
Frank Orman's insight:

This article talks about how you should:

- think about users flows before starting to design a website.

- identify each user and business objective as the first step to creating a design flow.

- how you should look further than the border of designing a landing page, and instead have a look at the 'bigger picture' of the user flow/conversion funnel, which could also include (the design of) your paid advertising, social media posts, email marketing, search, press etc. Creating a design experience that smoothly guides users through different platforms/touch points will prove to be more beneficial to both the user and your business.

This article is not just about graphic design but also talks about textual information, call to actions etc.
