How Will Moodle And eThink Turn North American Higher Ed Adoptions Around?

How Will Moodle And eThink Turn North American Higher Ed Adoptions Around? | eLearning Stuff | Scoop.it
In an exclusive interview with the EdTech and Startups portal Nibletz, two CEOs (Martin Dougiamas of Moodle and Brian Carlson from eThink Education, official Moodle Partner in the US) recently discussed the beginning and current status of Moodle in North America. Even though it was built in Australia, Dougiamas knew he was on the right track with Moodle when its first foreign download came from Canada.

Later on, Carlson found himself working for Ellucian, a Student Information System, and listening to how institutional representatives were unhappy with the existing services. In passing, one of them mentioned that they found a free app that seemed better than the existing Web Course Tools. But while they managed to download it and set it up in their server, they hit roadblocks regularly. If only someone would offer some Moodle support! Carslon realized the opportunity and the two never looked back.
