Here's a bit of online facilitation wisdom: "The Two-Question Rule: This means to follow a question with another question that probes for deeper understanding."

E-Learning Certificate Program: Make Money Teaching Online!

E-Learning Certificate Program: Make Money Teaching Online! | eLearning | Scoop.it

I went back to school and got a certificate in online teaching and learning as well as a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis on distance learning. I could see the future coming and I loved the work. I taught part time for Connected University and held on to my classroom job.  I chased grants and learned to both design and teach online. I believed hard work, dedication, and setting goals would change my world.  Eventually I took the leap to full time online employment. Despite my preparations,  it took me several years to learn the ropes.

I wish I knew then, what I know now.

This post is one way to pay forward that advice I was given all those years ago!

David Bozetarnik's curator insight, April 30, 2014 11:35 PM

Blended learning has much potential.  However, it is only PART of the solution to why ails education today.  It is not a replacement for funding.  Adequate funding, whether online of f2f, must go hand in hand.  You can't maximize the potential of education while cutting necessary $$$.

Why You Should Care About M-Learning

Why You Should Care About M-Learning | eLearning | Scoop.it

"Mobile learning is becoming increasingly popular in the workplace. There are a variety of reasons for this, but many have to do with the accessibility of mobile devices, the savings associated with a mobile enabled learning program, and the convenience mobile learning affords the learner. In fact, today if there is a learning management system (or courses) that do not perform on mobile devices, it is borderline in-excusable. In five years time, it will be flat-out archaic."
