i'm sure that most of nowaday's teachers have used ICT's in classroom and actually enjoy doing it. It has became a really necessary tool the use of virtual aids into the classroom.
Here there are 7 proposals of "modern tools" to use into the classroom that are specially usefull for gropus tasks.

In my personal opinion I really liked numer 1 which is a board tool that lets users organize thoughts and ideas spatially and plus, it could be connected to youtube and google drive (two digital toolsvery used by students) and i liked numer4 aswell because it is specially designed for children and teenagers.

Enjoy the reading and i hope my colleagues use some of these digital tools in their classes.

Are We Innovating, or Just Digitizing Traditional Teaching?

Are We Innovating, or Just Digitizing Traditional Teaching? | Educational Technology | Scoop.it
Blended learning has the potential to transform the way teachers teach and students learn—if we take advantage of all that it offers

Via EDTECH@UTRGV
John Zuluaga's insight:

As long as teachers promote independence and other life skills in learners, technology becomes useful and practical. The fact of encouraging learners to be active participators and critical thinkers depend on teachers (how we teach and how we take advantage of the available materials); besides, it is important to highlight that our teaching styles and their efficiency are reflected on learners' outcomes. If a methodology is not longer functional in class, it will be necessary to implement other options.

In this century, technology must be as functional as our teaching style. Electronic devices, virtual tools, social networks, etc. are playing an important role in global education; our job is being able to employ those offered tools by making them useful and innovating; therefore, our learners will be engaged in their own learning process.

John Zuluaga's insight:

There are for sure many other characteristics; nevertheless, those ones mentioned are pretty narrow and interesting. "A tech teacher integrates digital skills into every day life" This argument can be supported by the idea that we use technology in order to cover a need. Every day, as human beings and teachers, we face needs that can be overtaken with the use of technology, but also being aware of how to use it wisely. This is how a competent teacher  who knows about tech literacy becomes a trendy and functional teacher without saying that "traditional" education does not work anymore.

John Zuluaga's insight:

Pretty interesting how technology is taking place in education nowadays. Electronic devices and even digital tools have lots of benefits for us; however, as users we just have been taking advantage of a small part.

In order to succeed in the educational field by implementing electronic devices and digital platforms or tools, it is necessary to train teachers first; for instance, how we can employ wisely technology and when it is proper to use it. Besides, it is important to take into account that, as 21st century teachers, we must encourage learners to be critical thinkers, problem- solvers, etc. while they are giving a proper use to technology.
