Why & How to Green Screen in class - IPAD 4 SCHOOLS

Why & How to Green Screen in class - IPAD 4 SCHOOLS | Educational Tech Tools | Scoop.it

"Finding interesting ways to evaluate, reflect and report on work and projects can be tricky. Many students struggle to engage with the reflection properly as it is often a dry, unentertaining end to any unit or project. But that’s where the Green Screen App can help. (How-to help sheet below)

Remember:

People don’t learn from experience.
People learn when reflecting on experience.
People learn more when they can witness their own reflection."

I guess you can never have enough curating, in this digital age anything that can keep you up to date and help visibility is worth a try. I like the way the simplify everything. I'm not sure but even with all this info I still may feel like I'm missing something and go to the individual sites anyway. But to see what the landscape looks like in a quick view Qwant is pretty cool.

Have used some of these apps but there are more to look at.

Homeschool FL's curator insight, June 2, 2013 8:33 PM

Educational apps are popping up daily, but the question for parents is, how to know which ones are worth using, and which ones are not? Because let's face it, the app industry is out to make money, and many times app developers are very astute at making an app that "looks" educational, but in reality is just full of ads and sneaky ways of getting your children to buy something.

This article lists 46 different websites that review apps for teachers and students. This should help cut through the clutter and help pinpoint the useful from the fluff.

wildswans's curator insight, May 5, 2013 12:03 AM

Such wonderful ideas and sometimes all it takes is a few more curves and yet I find myself wondering, where is the balance between spaces carved out for physical play and those for imaginative play (in between the covers of a book). How do we divide the spaces such that children who want to play can play and others who want a place to hide and read can cuddle up in a cosy corner.

This video about the power of learning to code demonstrated the adaptation, creativitity, collaboration, and innvation that is available to you when you are code literate.  The new technology curriculum requries that students use digital technologies to creative innovate and digitally work with, and share, data; this video shows how coding allows you to do all this in ways that are as indiviudal as each student.
