How we will learn
Kelly Christopherson's insight:

Creativity - where does it come from? On most days as I try to write something, I wish I knew more about what allows others to write and be creative. I mean, I have a hard time drawing stick people, can't play an instrument, and don't sing anywhere but the shower. Yet, I spent years helping people pick colours for rooms in their houses, can rearrange a room/space - seeing it as it could look and what those options mean for space & flow. And, when I quit worrying about "just one more article", I can string a few lines together. So, what makes us creative? How can we help students be more creative? This article from Mindshift helps to begin to explain this very thing.

Kelly Christopherson's insight:
The third leg of the digital access, digital skills, is the one that is most often forgotten and taken-for-granted. If we have access and the tool, do we have the skills to use it? That begins with understanding technology (techne + logos) is a thoughtful conversation about, with, and through our tools. It is not limited to the digital.

A lot of people think that everyone, just about has access. Not true. A lot of people believe that access to a cell phone is all that is needed for most people. They have a lot to learn and a lot to gain. This article shares a lot of the information.

Understood as a calling (see Parker Palmer and Thomas Merton), teaching is not about money. Yes, teachers have to make a living. I would link environmental stress with administrative issues. I found little support in my last decade in a K-12 classroom.
