I absolutely have to agree with this. I have a small business with which I advertise through Facebook ads. Once a month I get a report of how my ad performed. I was blown away when at the end of the third month, I saw the same thing I had seen the previous two. That 97% of my online traffic came through mobile devices! Only 3% came from a PC. Wow, was I surprised. The trend now is to develop more apps to compliment our in classroom or online teaching.

With a majority of homes having internet and some type of mobile device it makes it easier to move towards mobile learning. This article shows the shift from when many families didn't have Internet in their homes let alone a computer.
