BrandonTeoZX's curator insight, January 21, 2014 8:15 AM

This article is more towards a positive note. Africa is a growing country with its education of youths progressing slowly. But it is also heartening to see that the government is encouraging their youths, not just boys, but girls as well to study, as they are the future of the country. This also prevents accusations of gender inequalities, and that everyone has a chance to earn a place in the working world. Now the question is, how will the people react to this? Will the students study hard to be what they aspire to be, or will they listen to the wishes and pleas of their parents?

Jared & Israel's curator insight, April 7, 2015 5:21 PM

Soth african girls have been encouraged to follow the studies in science. The orginazations have set up a seminar to influence the women of all ages  to follow a arrer in science. They also showed successful role models to the women that have had succes in the fields of science. The program also wants to highlights  the roles that women can achieve.
