The concepts of work and play have become farcically reversed: schoolwork is meant to be superfun and play, like homework, is meant to teach.

Video games IN education...?  Yes!  Video games AS education...? NO. This op. ed. examines where video games and educational technology fit into a modern child's world. My final call based on this article?  Support, but do not supplant. If children "barely notice" that they're learning, then they're missing out on developing valuable metacognitive strategies and learning skills.
