Important that you understand basic subsidy/protection analysis but this situation is a bit more complex.  Are Indian farmers really so inefficient that they need subsidising? Could financial help be given to them in other ways? What do the WTO 'RULES' in this area actually say?.....and could this be a case of dumping?
