Steve Howard: Let's go all-in on selling sustainability | Video on TED.com

The big blue buildings of Ikea have sprouted solar panels and wind turbines; inside, shelves are stocked with LED lighting and recycled cotton. Why?
Georgia Pollard's insight:

Blown away. A few of his points that made me want to constantly highfive him were things like; "People want sustainability to be easy, affordable and ATTRACTIVE..." and it was the last word that really got me. Sustainable doesn't have to mean old fashioned, backwards or as Steve Howard later said - compromise. Why can't sustainable be about moving forward?

I also loved his observation that 100% targets are actually easier to meet than say a 90% one as everyone finds some reason to be in that 10% exception. "But 100% is pretty clear-cut, you just have to do it."

I was so excited to hear someone who works for a huge global well-known company like IKEA talk such sense with such well planned and excecuted targets for the not to distant future. Thank you Steve Howard.
