Whilst the numerous video tutorials were written for the secondary maths syllabus, some could be used with adults and the popularity of the website suggests that screencasts are an effective way to produce learning materials for blended maths programmes.

Educreations is very similar to the other the other screencasting tool  Explain Everything but you can download Educreations for free.  It does not have as many features as Explain Everything and your videos are stored on the Educreations website which means that you can ony share them by sending learners the weblink.  You can't download them and share them as video files. it is still a terrific app and very easy to use!

QR codes can be placed on worksheets, posters, wall displays, equipment in a workshop so that when learners scan the codes with a smart phone, they are taken straight to a VLE page, a video tutorial, an audio file, a web page, or whatever kind of information you feel would be appropriate to the task. So, when creating a set of percentage questions you could include a link at the bottom to a video tutorial that explains the calculation method or takes the learner to the set of answers. If you click the link above you will taken to one of the most popular websites that will help you create QR codes.

This is a fully featured screencasting tool for use on i pads. Using an i pad to create a screencast means you can annotate graphics and slides by hand. Unnlike the other i ipad screencasting tool Educreations, Explain Everything allows you  to download your videos as mp4 files and then share them as video files. Learners with i pads can use the tool to  capture their explanations of a problem solving task. Tutors can use it to create their own video tutorials for those key calculation methods. It is the only tool in this Scoop it which is not free - however, when I downloaded it, it only cost £1.90!
