For a successful PBL unit, set clear goals, over plan, make students accountable, give concrete deadlines, share rubrics in advance, and reflect on your methods.

I can totally relate to this teacher's account of her first experience with PBL; mine was the same and her tips are right on point.

What I might ad is that PBL, and I truly believe this should be used to serve a higher purpose.

The final product should be something that calls to action for an issue in society that needs attention such as poverty, or discrimination, or a plan to help a sector of society to solve a problem.
