Wind Tubes

Wind Tubes | E-learning | Scoop.it
Wind Tubes is an activity that allows visitors to explore moving air with a variety of everyday objects. Something as simple as a clear plastic tube on top of a fan allows for the air flow to be constrained enough to be predictable in the ways in which it affects materials, while at the same time allowing for a broad range of materials to be tested. Within its walls a variety of common objects can be made to respond to the turbulent flow of air.

Narissa Lambert's curator insight, May 30, 3:25 AM
Yet another great tool to shift learning from paper to digital. I'd love to implement this in my classroom for students' designs, I can think of so many benefits that aren't listed in the article:
-Student work would be easily accessible from anywhere
-Student work would last forever (indestructible!)
-Student work could be easily embedded and linked to pages online
And how much more engaging dow digital drawing sound? A perfect addition to the modern classroom.

Grace Griffin's curator insight, June 2, 8:56 PM
Thanks for sharing this Bronte, I hadn't heard of this digital technique before and I found it really interesting. I can see this easily working with my pedagogy.
Brae Whatmore's curator insight, June 3, 11:08 PM
Thanks Bronte, this article has inspired me to be more innovative in my pedagogy.  I liked the way the article showed a new technique for using technology.
