Turnitin is the leading academic plagiarism detector, utilized by teachers and students to ensure academic integrity. Turnitin is a web-based program available to high school teachers that helps teach students about academic honesty by producing an originality report that compares their work against billions of web pages, over 200 million student papers, databases, and publications. It improves feedback from teacher to student by allowing the teacher to mark directly on a copy of the student’s work and grade in a paperless environment. Teachers can also enable a peer-marking feature, which allows students to learn from one another, develop their critical thinking skills and engage them in the writing process.
