A structural engineer and his company have been convicted and fined a combined $480,000 for work failings that contributed to a dangerous land collapse at a Mount Waverley building site.

This collapse occurred in 2015 and the first legal actions have been completed.  There are still actions pending against the builder.

I'm not a fan of filling every spare bit of land with a multi-storey building but it would be fantastic to work out how to build this.  There is something in this article for all students - regardless of which units you are doing.  It covers scheduling, logistics, management, contracts...... you could even use this as a starting point for your research topic.
