Introductory to Dramaturgy

Dramaturgy is the act of script writing, performing and creating the performance overall as well as anybody who is involved with the process of creating the play or performance. The dramatic elements can be used in this process in order to create an effective piece. In relation to dramaturgy, someone who plays a major role in this process is a dramaturg. A dramaturg is someone who is a specialist in the dramaturgy field, who advises actors or directors who are trying to adapt a piece from the play to the stage.
