Awesome charts and data on how Social Media has grown just in the past few years!  I know many of us have been using various aspects (MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc) for many years, but it is amazing how it has jumped just in the past 2 years or so.

In order to improve your conversion rate, you first need to know what it is.  Start by identifying what conversions you want to track.  It may be opt-ins, or sales or views etc. Take the number of people that took whatever action you’re tracking and divide it by the number of site visitors you have. Once you’ve determined what your conversion rate is, you can start to work on improving it systematically.

I'm not all together sure how these stats are arrived at, and a similar visual for Facebook that I came across recently proved to be irrelevant (yes I tested it). As with anything else, I guess it depends upon the type of business you're into.
