A Must Have Guide on Using Twitter in your Classroom

A Must Have Guide on Using Twitter in your Classroom | Digital tools for education |

Another great Twitter resource for educators. This is a special guide full of tips, tutorials, and ways other teachers are using Twitter. Click on any title to access the article. If you are still struggling to find ideas on how to use this social networking site with your students then you don`t need to go any further, the guide below is more than enough for you. I am recommending it for both starters and experienced Twitter users and I am pretty sure you will love it as much as I did. I will definitely add this guide to our Twitter for Teachers section here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning. Enjoy

Alison Hewett's insight:

Must get more teachers using Twitter

Tim Kerr's curator insight, February 25, 2013 9:20 PM

Probably applies more to senior secondary and tertiary ed, but handy nonetheless.

Not all are directly applicable to all schools but a good list none the less.

Twitter is a fantastic tool. I'm using with my class. We have a secure account so not everyone can see us but we can see that is happening in the world. The children love sharing their work on Twitter. We are linked with parents and other classes. The discussions we have around approriate material to put on Twitter and who we should accept as our followers is a real world experience for the students

Alison Hewett's insight:

If you have any energy left after a long day and feel like exchanging ideas and practice with other teachers....I do recommend  #PYPchat. At a more seemly time in NZ hours #edchatnz is pretty good too!

I think it's interesting that #BlackEdu has been around for over 2 years, but not even recognized. #racism #exclusion
