Thanks to the JOBS Act, companies can now offer equity to small investors. Its hard to imagine that with Kickstarter's first-mover advantage it won't allow this kind of ROI for its customer's fans. Seems a huge opportunity to be filled by the many competitors waiting for the SECs starting gun to go off later this year.
