The internet giant, Google, has just announced the launch of their voice-activated search for laptops and PC’s. The Google Chrome extension was launched in the U.S. in an English only version. The browser extension will become available in other countries and languages, following the beta version that was launched in the U.S. today. A microphone will be required to be present on the device, or users can connect and install their own 3rd party microphones.

Residents in the U.S. can now install the free browser extension in their Chrome browser by visiting the Chrome Web Store. After installation, a user will need to allow the extension to access the computer’s microphone. A prompt, “Say: OK Google,” will then appear in the browser’s search bar. The extension can then be activated by users by speaking the voice command, “OK Google.” Once the extension hears a voice command, the browser will display a red microphone graphic and type the spoken voice command automatically, before revealing the answer to the spoken query.

Here's how to use LinkedIn groups to improve your B2B social media marketing, and develop close relationships with the people most likely to buy.

Over time, you should begin to see more people interacting with you and your profile.  This includes: comments, discussions, likes, views of your profiles, growth in your —hopefully growth in new prospects. If you are not noticing this after an appropriate amount of time, step back and determine if you are effective in your participation, or if the activity level of the group doesn’t support building this deep engagement. If so, leave the group and find another.

 

Action Steps:

1-Join a group, become comfortable with the way that group functions, and begin to participate

2-Set up a schedule to post a topic for discussion (i.e. could be something you are talking about, a question, or an article, tip sheet, etc.).

3-The key is to make sure it is something that your target audience would value.

4-Make sure you check the group every day and add at least one activity (post, comment, like, share)
