How VR will disrupt sales and marketing

Once you think about this thoroughly, you can start seeing the consequences:

Show rooms might become obsolete, especially for products that are large and expensive, like house extensions or yachts.

If you no longer need to go to a show room to experience things, you might as well do the whole thing from behind your own computer, when it suits you.

If you are no longer tied to a location, you can shop anywhere, so why not shop at the manufacturer’s website?

HootSuite Extends Its Social Media Wings With Evernote, Storify, Zendesk Integrations | TechCrunch | Digital and Virtual Technologies | Scoop.it

As a long-time Hootesuite user (in my opinion, one of the best of Social Media aggregation services - and I've tried a few!), I'm pleased to see they are extended their integration plugins to include Zendesk, Evernote and Storify.

I don't actually use Zendesk, so can't comment on that, but I do use Evernote and Storify. The Evernote app plugin will give users the ability to save conversations directly into Evernote notebooks (also a useful way of archiving content).

The Storify integration will mean that users can create Storify narratives directly from content being monitored via HootSuite, rather than resorting to a copy/paste process as in the past. Another useful tool for digital content curators.

From the article:

“With the addition of app plugins, we’re making it possible for our users to monitor their social media properties from the dashboard, then delegate messages for additional handling in external, third party applications. This tighter coupling between HootSuite and its integrated apps extends the power of both.”

Can't wait to try it out!
