Meeting James Smith from Elite Bodyworks

Today we met James Smith who was a ex QMC student who now owns his own buisness. Called Elite Bodyworks in todays lesson we found out how he became to do his dream job. He worked very hard to get where he was by doing different classes and coures. He used to do a BTEC and a fitness course.

 

Now at age 23 he owns his own company called Elite Bodyworks where he changes people's life and change their body shape

Circuit Training

On Friday the 1st of march i did a curcuit with learning support students of the college.

 

The circuit was 40 seconds exercise and 20 seconds rest

 

In the circuit there was press ups, sit ups, shuttle runs,tricep dips, lunges, squats, skipping,step ups and shoulder steps.

 

One of the reasons why is what not as high intensive was because we was working with students with learning support needs.

My name is Liam Harvey and I’m 17 years old. I am from London but now I’m living in Basingstoke. I have been playing football since the age of 5 i have so much passion for this game. when i was 7 i played for my first club hatch warren under 7s i played for them till i was 12 years old. soon as i left them i went to find a new club soon as possible and i went to play for csa from the age of 13 to 16 it was good i had some good times and bad times with the club but that’s football. I have been playing in the same positions in football and that is right or left wing and upfront. I support Liverpool since i was about 4 and i try to watch every game I can.

 

To play football you to able to adapt to play if different positions so you will need to learn different fitness components to play football for example speed, agility, cv endurance ,strength, muscular endurance, balance.

Bicep hammer curl 7 sets 10 reps 5kg

Dumbbell shoulder press 7 sets 10 reps 5kg

Dumbbell squat 7 sets 10 reps 5kg

Dumbbell lat raise 7 sets 10 reps 5kg

Dumbbell deadlift 7 sets 10 reps 5kg

Press ups 7 sets 10 reps 5kg

Sit ups 7 sets 10 reps 5kg

 

45 second rest after 1 set

 

Team finisher

wall squat

10 steps with 10kg log

 

and i really enjoyed the session because this can help me reach my goal for strengh so it will help me in my football to hold off defenders

My training programme

 

Warm up: Start with stretching for 2 minutes and then go on the cross trainer for 5 mins

Main session: Start with 8 minutes on the rowing machine with then a 2 min rest and then 12 minute cooper run on the treadmill with my heart rate at 142 bpm

Cool down: For the cool down ill be doing static stretches
