Felix M Laboy's curator insight, February 18, 2014 9:57 AM

In this article Ricky hits it right in the head. I have seen graphs behave like this in almost all of the plants I go to. Not only EM work orders should go down, but also CM work orders. If you need to build a business case to improve your maintenance strategy, a good way to start is to build a graph like the ones describe in this article for your plant and see what you get. The good thing about doing this exercise is that it will be with your own data. We have a saying were I work: "We only believe in God, everybody else bring data".

What Technology Will Look Like In Five Years

What Technology Will Look Like In Five Years | Design & Technology | Scoop.it
Rather than gauging if the toilet has enough water, the soap bottle is full enough and the lights are the perfect level, your smart bathroom can ask, “How was your visit?” You can say “Good,” or perhaps, “Bad — there wasn’t enough soap.” This eliminates the need for so much tracking, and makes the experience feel more human. Ultimately, our devices will rely on our feedback just as much as data.
