The Yellow Kid 1895

The Yellow Kid 1895 | Deejay's Yellow Journalism | Scoop.it

This is a comic book called "Hogan's Alley" which featured a yellow dressed character they named "The Yellow Kid" to try and compete with Pulitzer's World. It was created and drawn by a artist named Richard F. Outcault.  The Yellow Kid, was a bald, snaggle-toothed boy who wore an oversized yellow nightshirt and hung around in a slum alley typical of certain areas of squalor that existed in early 20th century New York City.
