Introduction

The Constitutional Amendements are guaranteed rights that all Americans have.

The Amendments I have chosen are:

Amendmendment I: Guarantees and protects freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.

Amendmendment II: Give the people the right to bear arms or keep weapons, since a well-regulated militia is necessary to security of a free country.

Amendmendment III: Says that providing lodging for soldiers in private homes is olny permissible with the consent of the owner.

Amendmendment IV: Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures, and requires a warrant if therre is probable cause or reason to believe that a search will produce evidence of a crime.

Amendmendment VI: Protects the rights of people in criminal cases and guarantees the right to a speedy and public trial.  The accused must be told the charges against him and must be allowed to have a lawyer.

6th Amendment Breach Means Freedom in VT - Total Criminal Defense

The people are practicing their constitutional right by gauranteeing the right to a speedy trial.

This man's constituional right was being threatened because the man waited nearly three years in jail between being charged with the crime and being convicted. The Justices sitting on the VT Supreme Court apparently feel that such delays are too long.  The man was freed.

I  think this is against the constituion because the 6th amendment states that it gurantees the right to a speedy trial but it does not state how long "speedy" is.

Supreme Court Takes on Anti-Gay Funeral Protest Case

Supreme Court Takes on Anti-Gay Funeral Protest Case | Da Amendments | Scoop.it

These people are practicing their constitutional rights by a band of religious zealots holding an anti-gay protest at the funerals of slain soldiers.

Their constitutional right is being threatened by the Supreme Court agreeing to hear a lawsuit against the Westboro Baptist Church.

I think this act is unconstitutional because although i do not think it is right i agree with what was said in the article which was : “As utterly distasteful as these signs are,” one appeals court judge wrote, “they involve matters of public concern” and are protected under the First Amendment.

The students constitution is being treatened by a raging national debate over guns, gun control and the legal and moral codes that guide the role of firearms in public places.

I think this is unconstituional becasue the the 2nd amendment states that people have the right to bear arms or keep weapons, since a well-regulated militia is necessary to te security of a free country.

Aaron Tobey, Student With 4th Amendment on Chest, Sues Over Airport Arrest

Aaron Tobey, Student With 4th Amendment on Chest, Sues Over Airport Arrest | Da Amendments | Scoop.it

This student is practicing his constitutional right by opting for a thorough pat-down from TSA agents rather than walk through sophisticated X-ray machines and imaging scanners newly introduced at airport security checkpoints.

His constitutional right is being threatened because he had to strip down to his underwear.

I don't think this is unconstitutional becasue the 4th Amendment states prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and i don't think this is unreasonable because no one wants to relive 9-11 or anything remotely close to it.

These people are practicing their constituional rights by being able to have conversations on public jailhouse telephones.

Their constitutional right is being threatened because the local district attorney's office is unfairly listening into conversations on public jailhouse telephones to gain information about criminal cases.

I think this act is unconstitutional because the 6th amendment clearly protects the rights of people in criminal cases.

These people are practicing their constitutional right by making cellphone calls

Their constitutial right is being threatened becasue a customer has no privacy interest in business records held by a cell phone provider.

I think this is unconstitutional because as it states in the article "when the government requests records from cellular services, data disclosing the location of the telephone at the time of particular calls may be acquired only by a warrant issued on probable cause."
