This is part of the funny, fabulous, beautiful moving 9 life lessons by Tim Minchin in his address as he’s awarded an honary doctorate by the University of Western Australia.

 

Although his address is to Arts students it’s inspirational for all students – other favourite parts are : Be intellectually rigorous; don’t rush, don’t panic; Science is awesome; share your ideas; learn as much as you can about as much as you can; there’s also some rude bits too and you may wish to listen to this 12 mins again and again.....

Another feature on CVs.  Like the article says - the differences in words most frequently used on CV's around the world is fascinating.  Why does enthusiasm only feature in the UK whereas you need to be from Australia or New Zealand to mention passionate; maybe the "patient" Americans can explain all.
