After researching many different articles online, these six here really give great insight into what is being done to stop cyberbullying. Students, schools, parents, and even the state government of a state are stepping up to stop what is so bad and hurting students all across the country. Cyberbullying is very common in today's society, especially with the type of online presence that many people have. It's wonderful to think that people are doing so many things to stop this horror. All of the sources here are from articles online, from newspapers. Cyberbullying is something the world has unfortunately, but this gives people hope that this needs to stop and that people are doing things to make it stop.

A student in Metro Cleveland used Twitter to combat a cyberbully. The bully used Twitter to post negative things about students at the school, but another student used Twitter positively, posting positive and reinforcing comments about students at the school.

A nice, small article on the education of children on cyberbullying. The more the children learned about cyberbullying, the less chances it has to happen, according to a study in Taiwan. What didn't work was direct intervention of the problem though. The researchers expect more study to prevent the problem.

Students in Florida caught bullying other students online now risk more if they are caught under a new law signed by Gov. Rick Scott.
Chris Zadorozny's insight:

A school district in Florida is taking some initiative on stopping Cyberbullying. A new law in Florida can punish students outside of the classroom for cyberbullying, but it has to affect learning. It may not completely stop it, but it's a step in the right direction, as students at the high school in Orange County are very excited for the bill.

A middle school in New Jersey is taking the initiative to teach both parents and students about the internet and the do's and don't's. It was a workshop, so it was hands-on, and taught everything from social media, to cell phones.

This is just a great fact sheet on bullying and cyberbullying. It gives stats and facts on how big cyberbullying is and it also talks about what schools and parents can do. It focuses more so on how parents can help because cyberbullying occurs outside of school moreso than not.
