Apple Yanks World's Most Popular Bitcoin Wallet From App Store | Wired Enterprise | Wired.com

Apple Yanks World's Most Popular Bitcoin Wallet From App Store | Wired Enterprise | Wired.com | Cryptocurrency | Scoop.it
Apple has pulled Blockchain -- a popular bitcoin wallet app -- from its App Store.
Network Coinage's insight:

Too bad Apple isn't a little more progressive when it comes to Bitcoin. It sounds like they have their hands full with various legal problems as well as their own plans for some type currency alternative. A bit disappointing to say the least...guess I'll have to look into an android phone...although, once Bitcoin reaches critical mass, Apple might be forced to play catch-up.

Network Coinage's insight:

As much as I'd like to keep my head in the sand over the negative Bitcoin news lately, I think it's important to acknowledge some of these difficulties. The Fall Of Mt. Gox — The World's Most Famous Bitcoin Exchange | Cryptocurrency | Scoop.it
Mt. Gox, the Japan-based Bitcoin exchange, was forced to halt all currency withdrawals this morning.
Network Coinage's insight:

It seems like this has been coming for some time. Technical problems, incompetence or insolvency, whatever the reason this appears to be the end of Mt. Gox. As far as I'm concerned when an exchange says they cannot make withdrawals they might as well say "we are insolvent". What kind of fool would deal with them again?
