In a tough year for travelers, Alaska and Delta arlines excelled, and United and American lagged.
Joe Cooper's insight:

Delta Airlines improved their focus with Critical Chain Project Management and Theory of Constraints (TOC) and wind up #2 on the list of Best Airlines of 2013.  Delta was #1 in the category of cancelled flights.  WSJ article quote: "...for the past two years [Delta] has posted far better operational results than big competitors."  Great job Delta Airlines!
