Craig Clissold Represents Honolulu Police Department at the 7th Annual International Asian Criminal Enterprise Conference

Craig Clissold was sent as a delegate by the Honolulu Police Department to the 7th Annual International Asian Criminal Enterprise Conference.

The Honolulu Police Department selected Craig Clissold as a delegate to the 7th Annual International Asian Criminal Enterprise Conference. As part of their fight against organized crime, the FBI organizes this conference.  It brings together law enforcement agency representatives from across the globe to discuss new trends in Asian crime enterprises, all the while allowing them an opportunity to discuss ways of fighting the problem.

Craig Clissold’s role in this conference was important to Honolulu, which has one of the largest pockets of Asian crime ring activity in the United States. Craig Clissold was proud to be able to represent his department, as well as the citizens of Honolulu. Craig Clissold was a vital part of the Honolulu Police Department’s response to Asian crime enterprise activity in Honolulu.

Craig Clissold was pleased to be able to take on the responsibility of addressing both the concerns and suggestions of the Honolulu Police Department regarding the year’s new trends in Asian crime. Craig Clissold played a vital part within an international stand against Asian crime rings and their activities. Craig Clissold was pleased to be able to offer suggestions and work with others to come up with different ways to address the new trends and to give feedback on the previous year’s failures and successes.

Craig Clissold was also proud to relay the information that he brought back from the conference to his superiors back at the Honolulu Police Department and to confer with them to come up with new ideas to combat emerging trends, as well as looking at methods to improve their current way of dealing with the problem.

Craig Clissold said the chance to attend a conference and to work closely with an international group of attendees to solve a worldwide problem was truly amazing.

Law Enforcement and Security Veteran Craig Clissold Seeks New Position

Craig Clissold has retired from 30 years of work with the Honolulu Police Department. Craig Clissold is looking for a new position that allows him to put his skills to work.

After retiring from his position as a lieutenant with the Honolulu Police Department, Craig Clissold is working to share his knowledge and experience with those in the private sector to meet their security needs as well. Craig Clissold worked for 30 years with the Honolulu Police Department. During that time, especially in his position as a lieutenant, Craig Clissold worked closely with police department personnel in training and personnel development.

Craig Clissold was a valued and respected member of the Honolulu Police Department, known for his work ethic and dedication to the job. “I love helping others. The 30 years that I spent helping to keep Honolulu safe with the officers at the Honolulu Police Department were extremely fulfilling. Now that I’ve retired, I want to share my knowledge with the private sector and continue to do my part to keep Honolulu safe for all of us,” said Craig Clissold.

Craig Clissold is dedicated to helping others and keeping them safe. As a testament to that, Craig Clissold has always worked hard to be sure that he has the most up-to-date information and education to fulfill the role that he has taken on within the Honolulu community as fully as possible.

Craig Clissold has an Associate’s degree in Police Science as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Management. Craig Clissold has represented the Honolulu Police Department at several national law enforcement events, including the World Trade Center Conference in 2001 and the 7th Annual International Asian Criminal Enterprise Conference in 1998. In 30 years, Craig Clissold has been responsible for keeping abreast of changes in the ever-changing world of law enforcement.  Craig Clissold feels that having worked in this type of environment for such a long stretch of time allows him to adapt quickly and easily to new challenges and situations. “It’s one of the things that I enjoy most about law enforcement,” says Craig Clissold, “things are never dull and you almost never come in to the exact same day.”

Craig Clissold wants to continue sharpening his skills and seeks to apply them to new challenges and situations in the private sector.

Craig Clissold Earns Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Management

Craig Clissold celebrates earning his Justice Management degree.

When Craig Clissold started with the Honolulu Police Department in 1972, he knew immediately that he had found his calling. Craig Clissold’s work ethic and dedication to the department were evident from the beginning. Craig Clissold immediately embraced his career path with the Honolulu Police Department. While working with the police department, Craig Clissold returned to school and earned an Associate’s degree in Police Science.

Craig Clissold continued working hard at his job at the Honolulu Police Department but still felt like he could do more for both himself and the department. About 10 years after the completion of his Associate’s degree, in 1986, Craig Clissold completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Management from Chaminade University. Craig Clissold had worked hard to attain the degree, especially because it meant balancing his work at the police department with the work of attaining his degree.

Craig Clissold was proud to attain that degree for several reasons. Craig Clissold could only hope that, paired with his hard work in the department, the degree would allow him to be considered for positions of greater responsibility within the department. Craig Clissold did eventually earn a promotion to lieutenant. Craig Clissold showed early that he was capable of taking on a great deal of responsibility in his ability to do quality work both at the police department and at school.

Craig Clissold is glad that he worked to attain the degrees that helped him further his career. He has enjoyed the opportunity to expand his knowledge of the law enforcement field and to have the rare opportunity to apply the curriculum to his job as he was learning it. “Being at work in the police department, while I was also in the midst of attaining my degree in Justice Management was extremely fulfilling;” said Craig Clissold, “it isn’t often that a student has the opportunity to apply new knowledge as they are learning it. It definitely made juggling school and work simultaneously more rewarding and less stressful.”

Craig Clissold is excited about taking on new opportunities to put his degree to use in the private sector as well.

Craig Clissold Celebrates 30 Years With the Honolulu Police Departmen

Craig Clissold retires as a Lieutenant with the Honolulu Police Department after 30 years on the job.

Craig Clissold recently celebrated his 30th year with the Honolulu Police Department. Craig Clissold has grown and learned so much since he first joined the force. Craig Clissold appreciates what his career as a police officer has allowed him to do for his neighbors in the city of Honolulu.

During his time with the Honolulu Police Department, Craig Clissold has worked hard to ensure that he remains as knowledgeable and up-to-date as possible. During his time with the department, Craig Clissold returned to school to earn first an Associate’s degree, and then a Bachelor’s degree as well.  Craig Clissold’s work ethic was immediately evident to his peers and superiors from his dedicated work while he was on the job, as well as his dedicated work off the job in service of furthering his career.

Craig Clissold worked in several roles during his time with the Honolulu Police Department, eventually achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Craig Clissold grew to be a valuable and respected member of the Honolulu Police Department in his time there, even representing the department several times at national conferences and events. He will certainly be missed around the office.

Craig Clissold is passionate about the work he has done with the police department, and looks forward to continuing that in the private sector. Craig Clissold hopes that he can bring his knowledge and experience to the table and use them to the benefit of a company in the private sector for their security needs. “What I’m really hoping to do is partner with a museum to work with their security. I love museums anyway, that would make work even more enjoyable,” said Craig Clissold of his search for new opportunities.

Since his time with the Honolulu Police Department, Craig Clissold has worked in several security positions at various locations, including the Honolulu Academy of Arts, the Waikiki Business Plaza, and the Wackenhut Corporation. Most recently, Craig Clissold was Chief of Security at the Mission House Museum. Craig Clissold has been successful in his career at this point and hopes to continue to share his knowledge to the benefit of others in the private sector.
