One of the few areas of real disagreement in Monday's debate between President Obama and his GOP rival, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney , was over the size of the defense budget.  Romney said the Navy and Air Force had gotten too small and that Obama had abandoned the country's longtime commitment to having a military large enough to fight two wars at once. Obama countered that the military's needs evolved over time and that Romney wanted to spend $2 trillion on defense (over 10 years) that "the military is not asking for." Obama know whats up.

The president threw his support behind ballot measures in Maine, Maryland and Washington state that would legalize same-sex marriage...In Maine, gay-rights supporters put the measure on this year's ballot in hopes of reversing the results of a 2009 referendum in which voters rejected a same-sex marriage law passed by the legislature. Obama beleives that marriage should be a right for everyone.

2012 Presidential Candidate Barack Obama on Business & Labor... Obama intended to raise the minimum wages index it to inflationary levels and thereby raise the earned Income Tax Credit. By rasing the minimum wage and keeping everything else the same price the economy will increase over time. Obama also believes that America's future depends in developing new clean energy jobs which can be succeded by mandatory limits on carbon pollution which will create a stable business environment inviting investments from entrepreneurs in a new energy economy.

Barack Obama quotes "As Senator Clinton indicated, there may be areas where it makes sense to have some fencing. But for the most part, having border patrolled, surveillance, deploying effective technology, that's going to be the better approach." He wants a barrier.

President Obama thinks that the goverment should bail out General Motors and chrysler. There are a million jobs at stake and Obama is not taking that, so he supported them. Now today, General Motors is back on top as the world’s number-one automaker. Chrysler has grown faster in the U.S. than any major car company. Ford is investing billions in U.S. plants and factories. And all of them together, the entire industry added nearly 160,000 jobs.

I believe in Barack Obama's postion on this subject. He put forward a $4 trillion dollar ruduction plan by raising taxes but not by alot. He said if we raise the taxes of the wealthy in the U.S. we can reduce the federal deficit.

Obama believes that drilling for oil will not lower gas prices. He would rather use wind power, solar power and biofuels. He would also like to investment in fuel-efficient cars and trucks, and energy-efficient homes and buildings.

Barack believes that health care should be a right for everyone in America. For America being as wealthy as it is, people should not be becoming bankrupt by not being able to pay there medical bills. Ensuring that all Americans have the right to health care will decrease health care costs by allowing people to receive regular and preventive medical care and not wait until they are chronically ill to seek treatment when medical costs are much higher.

Barack Believes that the wealthy should be taxed more than other americans. Most billionaires only have a tax rate of one percent. The middle class people get more taxes for working there hardest when richer people barley do anything and have all this money and pay almost nothing for taxes.

Barack Obama thinks that tenure is silly. He quotes "If a teacher is given a chance or two chances or three chances but still does not improve, there's no excuse for that person to continue teaching. I reject a system that rewards failure and protects a person from its consequences." There should be no tenure.
