WATCH: The odd chemical reaction between Coke and milk

WATCH: The odd chemical reaction between Coke and milk | Cool Chemistry | Scoop.it
It’s a bit slow to get going, but the ending of this video sure is weird. Imagine if the coloured parts of Coke could somehow be precipitated down, so what you’re left with is a bunch of dark particles at the bottom of the bottle, with a strange,...
Rach Brick's insight:

Good for talking suspensions vs solutions... possibly also acid-protein reaction, but might be a bit beyond VCE chem. Would require one "i prepared earlier" in shorter classes. Might finish in a 75 min class.

Biggest Misconceptions About The Universe Explained | IFLScience

Biggest Misconceptions About The Universe Explained | IFLScience | Cool Chemistry | Scoop.it
Back in March, the science world celebrated as researchers announced the first detection of gravitational waves; a smoking gun for the Big Bang. Scientists believe than in a time period lasting 10-34 seconds, the Universe expanded 100 trillion trillion times until it reached the colossal size of… a marble. The gravitational waves come from fluctuations of background radiation from this inflation period.
Rach Brick's insight:
