What is a 'daigou'? Is it a real job? This article looks at the phenomenon of the Chinese expats employed as 'professional shoppers' for Chinese clients. Their job? To buy foreign goods and services and post them back to China.

This service covers everything from baby formula milk to luxury handbags to electrical appliances, and highlights changing consumption patterns. There's a link to income elasticity of demand here too...
