I thought this was cool article. It had a huge focus on american online shopping before the winter holiday season. However in saying this there are plenty of good points we can take from this article. The final part about mobile marketing was good as smartphones will become increasingly important in the future.

I also thought this article was interesting as it talked about the power of influence that social media has on consumers, yet this wasn't really taken advantage of. Combining social media with mobile technology could be a really good way to maximise customer engagement especially during the holiday season when consumers are busy and have lots of different media channels trying to get their attention. Mobile is also a good way to be around consumers all the time, as most people are never without their phones

This article is great! Awesome stats about how social media is changing and how marketers can use this to their advantage. It was good how this article also talked about how many social network users do NOT use it very much or in ways that marketers would not be able to take advantage of. As you said this research was not conducted in NZ but it would be very interesting to see how NZ compares to the social media users of the US.
