Everyday we use conjunctions. Now you ask what are conjunctions? Trust me you know what they are but hearing the word Conjunction just sounds odd and unfamiliar to you. In fact, I am using a couple of conjunctions myself. A couple of conjunction examples are: and, for, but, or, yet, and soon. Oh now you know! I thought you would. Why am I bringing this up now? Well, I think we should know what the names of a certain collage of words mean. We did not know what the conjunction family was until I told you a whole group of them. I feel that to know the definition of words is very important because then you understand when and where to use them instead of just writing them down for fun. You see, knowing the importance of what a word means is important right? For example, the word important. What if I did not even know the word but I just put it there. That is basically the same thing with conjunctions. You do not know what they are but you use it because it just sounds right. I know I do that like all the time. Just know you are not alone but it is important to know what they are. Conjunctions make not only make your essays better but your speaking better. I know that kinda sounds weird like when are you going to use the word conjunction. Well after you read this then you will. There you go. But yeah, as you can tell you can even use conjunctions at the beginning of a sentence. I know you remember your elementary teachers telling you that was completely wrong but news flash, it is not so it is okay to say it and even put it in an essay. Only if your professor lets you that is. So yeah give credit to the conjunction! Now that you know what it is find out other words that you do not know and figure them out. You got this.
