Wednesday and Thursday : The finals

Wednesday I have not do things interesting, but Thursday I learnt that there were two kind of post in the Loria, the searching and the ITA. The ITA help the search and search ask for help a lot of time, but the requests are numbers and sometimes difficult to do. The reason of that is the liberty granted in the search that makes a lot of different software, that is why the ITA have to possess a good documentation to aswer to the requests. In that way a kind of wikipedia on the scale of the Loria has been created and orginized to see to it of always redirect on the answer.

Then I met the guy who take care about the network of the Loria and he explained me how the cables join themself and how it is orginized, there is Network entries in the B and C division.

Then I left at 5:00 pm with the feelings that the internship was interesting and full of usefull know ledge.

Thursday, discovery of the state control

At 9:00 am, a conference started talking about the INRIA's project for 2020 (INRIA is the socity who have built the loria and seven other laboratory or infrastructure) in the amphitheater, I was in the state control to see how it work. There are three camera who can be controled by a console and the projector can conncted with a computer in the state control or on writting desk. It was interesting to see what is happening behind the scene of the conference and how it has to be orginized. At 2:00 pm, a man and his trainee came to change videoprojector, I helped them to place it and test the resolution.

At the end of my day I checked the stuff and the microphone and go back home.

The second day in the structure of research

The second day in the structure of research | Company Internship | Scoop.it

The day began with the instalation of a device of video conference and a passage in the rubbish (the place where we put the obsolete computing stuff), here we label the machines and note the series number. Then I unsettled broken desk phones in the way to take a part of them for the maintenance of the others. At 2:00 pm there was a reunion with two members of the computing service to organize the invetory of the rubbish and at 3:00 pm I visited the MAIA team, there are different team in the Loria and all of them have a project in common, the MAIA team makes research on robot, precisly how they can explore, work and understand within a group without colisions or bugs. Their first robot named Gaston, he's first capacity was locating obstacle and placing himself. Recently they have programate a little group of robot in the way to simulate the same behavior of the ants, they locate the road borrow by the others and follow it.

After that explanation and a long demonstration I finally leave my internship at 5:00pm

C'est très interessant. Il y a quelques erreurs qu'il faudra soumettre à un professeur d'anglais. Peux-tu songer à des illustrations ?

C'est très bien d'avoir ajouté des illustrations.

Tuesday, LORIA Day

At 11:00 am, I visited again the apartment of home automation and the guy who take care of it explained me that the paving stones comunicate with the others to inform them about the chock wave to situate the persons and that every robot or engine can consult all of the information colected by the others to do what they have been asked for. So I learnt that they have a robotic arm controled by the brain with a helmet provided of cerebral captor, but it work only with paralyzed person because when someone want to move his leg, he will move but when a paralyzed person want to move his arm, he can't, and the signal stay in the cortex so it can be capted by the sensor of the helmet. In the beginning of the afternoon I attend the reparation of a laptop, but it was just the connector of the button on/off. And finnaly at 3:30 pm a conference for the LORIA Day has prepared and a snack with all the LORIA team has been savored.

I finnaly leave at 5:00 pm.

Friday : home automation

The beginning of the day was common, we check up the inventory, transport stuff in the rubbish and oversee the adjustment of the videoprojector. And 4:00 pm, I visited the domotic appartment. There were a lot of stuff like captor or command for the assistant to the person. There were paving stone with captor on the floor to manage robot, for example the robots have to stand two paving stone to the human, and a Kinect camera to see how people looked, if they are on point to fall or if they seem to be weak. There are knots of controle connected by bluetooth to simplify the commande without a wifi box. The scientists said that they were working on a common controle box to simplify to the maximum the control of the home automation. I leave at 4:30 pm because of a appointment.

Wednesday the morning

Wednesday the morning | Company Internship | Scoop.it

To begin the day I visted the team who take care of encoding and precisly breaking code in prime numbers. To effectuate that, you got to factorize them, it's very complicated and for 720 megabitz, a lonely computer will have to factorize during 1024 years ! That's why they have use a lot of cluster (computer). Then, at 10:00 am, I visiter the H.S.L. (High Secure Laboratory). There are a security system very developed in the basement and there working on the computing virus. They can identify virus signature in programe and thus spot them, and even more, if the virus is masked, they can reconize the virus for 80 %, and so spotted him even though his masked. Then I finished the morning with the inventory of the borken phone in the rubbish.

After that I leave at 12:00

C'est bien de continuer en anglais, c'est un bel effort.
Ce que tu écris est intéressant. Il faudrait simplement analyser davantages les situations et dire ce qu'elles t'apprennent.
Bon courage pour la suite.

My first day at the Loria

Loria is a laboratory of computing and biological search. It accont one hundred fifty fixed scientis and one hundred fifty other scientist who have not fixed post. I began my internship in the Loria by a layout of a computer with the aim of give it to a new scientist, then I insured the computing maintenace service with my internship master. In the afternoon I assisted to a metting with all of the computing maintenance staff, and I learnt that they use a server for printers and that there are three server room for the three division of the Loria. Those division havn't been created at the same time, the first has been created in 1990, the second in 1992 and the last in 2006. I insured the maintenace service the rest of the afternoon and leave the Loria at 5:00 pm.

La présentation de l'entreprise est trop succinte, il faut l'approfondir.
