CROSSING TO BE GOOD NEIGHBOURS

Even under the same roof, spouses seem
to be miles apart in living! Television ,computer and other devices seem to have taken places of partners and wards.

We seem to be creating more gap,yes it is getting wider by days,we create artificial frontiers,class-stratification...the haves and the haves-not,the urbaned and the pastoral, the elites and the peasants, the lettered and the unlettered...and a whole lot barricades will erect in the frame of our minds!

We can do a great deal of crossing for each other,if only we choose! We can build bridges,we can create lifts,we can erect ladders and Yes,we can mend fences too!

We can do all these by changing our mind first,it begins with us individually, then we can change to be good neighbours by giving, yes not neccessarily money but love!

Giving, yes giving skills, time, ideas, peace, help, attention, money and everything we seem to be endowed with above others! Oh! Giving empathy, when we exchange situation,we really cross and not until then we can really cross!

Crossing will really occur when we are ready to trade our comforts without expectation ,to mend fences, without recourse to status, creed, race, colour, faith, sex, height or what-have-you!

Crossing is difficult though, for there are lots of crocodiles on the road, but when we choose EMPATHY,we will cross without minding the loss!

The world needs more crossing to really make it a better place to live!

Doug Ross! You have really crossed into my world, you removed the barricades placed by the natural reliefs i.e ocean, mountains, rivers, distance, time and name it ,your comfort to impact my world without any expectation whatsoever! I have really been your neighbour and you are a better one at that! Thanks a million!

That is an ample crossing that we must all replicate! Each in his own unique way and manner!
