Even though Tomb Raider sales are way higher on Playstation than XBOX, the developers decided to make the game exclusively for XBOX. This enraged gamers.

Steam from video game studio Electronic Arts and and Origin from Valve Software respectively, are two services that essentially do the same thing. Instead of going to a store to purchase a video game, these services let you do it from your computer via cloud-based direct download.

EA tries to compete against a company that gamers love. EA should not expect people to jump over to their platform after all the whole negative perception that people have of them. They force gamers to use their platform if they want to play their games. Even though some players use their platform, they only do it because they have no other option. At the end of the day, gamers are still not happy with the only option they have of using EA's Origin to play EA's games.

The Xbox One has been on the receiving end of multiple policy reversals. Microsoft has taken the time to publicly address that the console is adopting more pro-consumer and pro-developer policies. However, the community has not warmed to Microsoft's attempt to assuage them, and it has nothing to do with the Xbox One itself.

Microsoft changes their policy to allow indie game developers to create games on their XBOX. People are still upset with Microsoft because it seems that they are always behind on everything. Microsoft keeps playing "catch up" with it's competitors after they realize how big their mistakes are.
