Very good article.Consistency within activating the role of IMC in marketing the brand is very important. Consistency can only be done when all elements of IMC is effectively communicating a company's brand to the customers. Building strong brand equity relies on the consistency of delivering the appropriate image of what its stands for to increase product and services recognition and allow consumers to quickly absorbs information about a particular brand and its value.

Integrated marketing communications is becoming an increasingly important aspect when it comes to branding, as it helps with a brands identity. Typically those brands that are well established and have an already strong customer base present have an advantage within the market. With brand identity including a variety of different elements there needs to be a consistent and  common message shown between them, otherwise it may result in confusion for consumers. If consumers receiving all these different message, that are potentially contradicting one another there will be confusion and it will be unknown what the brand is trying to achieve or what its stance is. It is important to keep each of these elements surrounding brand identity integrated and portraying a common message.

This is a good article that explains the difference, as well as interdependence of branding, identity and logos. Its important for businesses and marketers to take into account all of these aspects, as businesses need to present a consistent image and message with IMC, and these three factors are really important in that. I like the point that the article makes about a brand being a corporate image, and a major role of this corporate image is creating an identity for the business. Logos then help to portray this image, which is where consistency comes in again.

Yes,l I agree. This is an excellent article as it identifies and explains the difference between branding identity and logo. It is very important to remember these difference as many people always forget. I like the point you have made about marketers having to both remember and take these differences into account to keep their corporate image consistent. I think consistency is an extremely important aspect of IMC and brand management because without consistency it would be extremely hard to develop positive consumer engagement.

This article really explains the individuality and seperate importance of these three ideas. This article is hugely applicable to IMC. The brand, identity and logp all have to work together so that consumers are not confused and steer away from a company. Very interesting and well written.

I thought this article was great as it described branding as not only the use of symbols, logo, word, fonts etc. It also talks about the memorability of a brand and examples of personnel touches that companies can incorporate to make them individual and special to people. A little extra effort shows that you care.

Branding is one of the foundations during the building process towards achieving a successful business/product. It provides consumers with something intangible to associate with a particular company in terms of core values or even the sense of a personality for that person. This article is quite good as it stresses the importance off having a strong well recognizable brand and there is no quick easy method in creating a strong brand. This article mentions that it cost millions and could take years to create/produce a strong brand and in doing so having a good ‘Brand’ could be a major asset for a business.

This article helped me to gain insight on how big brands have become common household brands. This can be linked to the strength of their brand identity in the marketplace. A brand is a perception that is resulted from experiences with, and information about a company or product. The article states that many big brands invest heavily to increase brand exposure. However, the article concludes by saying that sometimes, it's the small things that help to build brand identity. The article uses an example of a coin counter at TD Bank. This can be seen locally, with some ASB branches using coin counting machines to target younger savers, then hold on to them through their lifetime.

This article  talks about how important a brand is in maintaining a good image of a company. It relates to IMC where you have to have strong communication with the brand and the customer, as maintaining a brands image takes a lot of time and effort so IMC would be key in analysing the target market of the brand so that it does not lose focus on what is important. Also well-known and maintained brand's for e.g. Apple can sell record numbers off its products because of its strong brand image with consumers already knowing what they are buying into as they have that emotional connection with the brand visually.

This is a great article on Branding. As mentioned in the article, it is important when launching a new brand, that the brand knows what its personality is so consumers are able to distinguish it from its competitors and whats its actual purpose is. It is also noted that Branding is a way for consumers to remember you and therefore want to purchase the product again. Apple is known for being innovative and design savy. The brand always brings out and creates the next best technological object that will be handy to all in life.

Jessie Shi: This is a good article for letting people understand what is branding and why it is important to companies. I think eye-catching design and a unique name are important for a brand, because people can remember this brand easily. This articles shows some success branding examples. I found that McDonald is interesting, they incorporated the word "Mac and Mc" into their product names, like "McNuggets" and famous "Big Mac". This makes people really easy to remember.

This is a great article on branding and its importance. I now have a better understanding about how branding works and what brand identity is. Branding is more than just a logo instead its the experience that consumers walk away with after working with the brand/company. There were great examples in this article such as Coca-cola, Macdonalds and Apple.
