1. An athlete's junior year is the most important year in the recruitment process. This is the year to get your name out there. So for your senior year coaches know who you are and are looking to see how you do.

2. At the end of your junior year, an athlete should send out their highlight tape in order for the recruiting to begin. This is where a recruiting service will come in handy because they do it all for you. At the end of the day, the athlete is getting the scholarship, not them, so the athlete has to be just as proactive.

3. If you get the recognition you wanted, you have until the first week in february of your senior year usually to make your decision. The athlete needs this time to take it all in and take everything into account when choosing a college. Visit every school you're interested in and ask questions.
