This article talks about how Michigan is looking into putting more of their funding into college education and making sure people can go. It is no question that furthering your education is always a positive and can benefit one greatly for their future. Michigan thinks that if more people further their education it will cause the middle class to grow and there will be more successfil people. They would rather puti n the extra money and pay for it now than to having a growing lower class and failing economy and pay for it later.

This eliminates the issue of money being a problem. It is also highly agreed upon that without furthering your education after high school, there is not a big chance of you living a middle class lifestyle.

The last piece of this article is what pertained to me and had some good tips on applying for scholarships. You shouldn't apply for every single scholarship you qualify for but narrow it down to the less competitive ones, such as local and state wide scholarships, and apply for the ones you have the best chance at recieving.

This article talks about how much Americans today are spending on college and how they are finding this money. 30% are from grants and scholarships, 27% are from savings accounts, 18% are fron students borrowing, 11% are from student's incomes and borrowing, and 5% comes from relatives. They questioned whether or not parents really should be paying for college and there answer is yes. Parents should pay for college even if it means dipping into retirement funds and borrowing loans because it shows how hard you need to work and how important furthering your education is.

Thomas is a star football player on his high school team and lead them to multiple state championships and earned them a national title. He also shows he is well rounded because he plays nine different instruments, and he apparently plays them all very well.

This article talks about the good and bad sides of greek life. There are many sterotypes about sorority's being superficial but one sorority member said that that is not necessarily true. Greek life makes a big campus seem like a smaller community and can bring you very good friends that you will have the rest of your lives.
