The American University website has a wide assortment of information, ranging from application information to facts and stories about the university. From the website, I was able to learn how to apply, which was helpful in completign the application. I also learned about the history of the university, its programs, and its students. This was helpful in writing the essays because I could write specifically about why I wanted to attend the school.

This website was helpful in giving detailed information about how to specifically apply to Boston University. For example, it gave me information about the different admission options and financial aid dates. It also provided information on how to send SAT/ACT scores to the school. I also learned about merit scholarships that freshman applicants can apply for. From here, I learned how to apply to the scholarship, such as what essays to write.

This source has all of the information necessary to apply to McGill University. It gives details about deadlines for all of the application materials. It also gives specifics about what materials are required in the application. It was helpful in providing a link to the online application and the information for how to upload a transcript.

This page was helpful in providing information for how to apply to the dual BA program between Columbia and Sciences Po. I was able to create an account for the application and find out where other materials need to be sent, such as my transcript and ACT/SAT scores. It will also help me in showing how to have my teachers upload recommendations. From this website, I also was able to research information about the program and the two campuses in addition to how to apply.

The Common Application Online

This is a link to the common app website, which most of the schools I am applying for use. I have a common app account created. It shows information about deadlines for the application. In addition to completing the core part of the common application that is sent to all schools, through the common app I will be able to complete all of my other colleges' supplements. I also had teacher recommendations and my school transcript uploaded to my account on the website.

Commission on the Status of Women

CE Student JI's insight:

This website has specific information about a previous session of the Commission on the Status of Women. I learned that each session has different focuses. I was able to read about what was done at  a prior session on its focus, which gave me a better idea about what the next commission could be like. I also learned from this website about the types of events that occur at the commission.

This source was necessary to find out how to send my SAT scores to colleges. It was also helpful for researching about all of the colleges I was applying to, such as majors available and the size of the school. It also provided test preparation for the SAT subject tests, which I needed to take for my applications. The pages about colleges were especially helpful because they also provided information about deadlines and financial aid.

This website provided information about a UN conference next spring that I applied to be a delegate for. It gave details about dates and location, as well as the subject and focus of the conference. The information I learned from this source was helpful in completing my application. As the conference approaches, this website will be additionally helpful in providing more detailed schedules of the conference.
