How to Show GPS Coordinates on iPhone

How to Show GPS Coordinates on iPhone | College algebra | Scoop.it
All iPhone models have a built-in GPS device which aids in navigation and allows for pin-point precision for location detection. While most users who interact with location and navigation features on their iPhone will be using the Maps applications, it can also be helpful to get exact GPS coordinates for latitude and longitude, perhaps for placing into a dedicated GPS tracker or for finding particular coordinates for a location on a map.

We’ll show you how to retrieve and display GPS coordinates on iPhone using native applications, there are no third party apps or downloads required.

Before we begin, some of you are probably wondering why anyone cares about GPS coordinates when the iPhone has directions capabilities and a Maps application. It’s not relevant to everyone, but knowing precise GPS coordinates can be helpful for runners, joggers, skiers and snowboarders, explorers, hikers, geocaching (cheating!), geologists, archeologists, realtors, surveyors, photographers, investigators, spies, and many other hobbies and professions.

Mauro Betancur Agudelo's curator insight, May 11, 10:37 AM
It is important to look backwards and reflect on the evolution that LT has faced during the last twenty years thanks to online resources and technological devices, which have permitted us to contact with the world in an easier way, to access to information faster and to improve our independent learning skills as we have the tools to learn quickly and look for what we exactly want to learn.
Mario Muñoz's curator insight, May 28, 3:50 PM
As future teachers, we should take into account that English is a changeable subject. Considering that, we should include all the possible advantages that technology offers. This article shows the high importance of common websites such as Facebook  and Google-docs, which are commonly used by most of students worldwide. Also, the use of Corpora, which is a list of collections about language structures used in real contexts is a great idea that we could promote in our classrooms. This text shows us how we can make students realize that they are also responsable for their learning experience, and it is not necessary in a boring way. It mentions crutial aspects that we can show our learners in order to promote autonomy while learning a new language, in our case English. The ten innovations that have change English teaching are great ways we can use for developing curiosity and motivating our pupils. In fact, it helps to break down the taboo about using technology at classrooms since it explains that technology are great sources for searching authentic material about English usage in real contexts, and it also allows us to keep contant online with people, even native speakers, who can help us to improve our language skills and critical thinking abilities.
Valentina Hernández Hernández's curator insight, August 1, 10:58 AM
The article presents ten innovations that have impacted the most English Teaching. All of them are related with new platforms, Apps, methodologies or techniques that have caused a positive change in the way English teachers carry out their classes. It also mentions the importance of working on lessons that include at least one of the ten things it mentions in the top in order for the students to enjoy the class and motivate.

As a small business owner you are probably very good at implementing a range of tactics in your quest to acquire more customers or clients. Unfortunately, if the tactics you choose to deploy are not aligned to a well thought out and clearly defined small business marketing strategy, your tactics will fail and the effort expended will be wasted. Remember strategy should always precede the development of any tactics to achieve the required outcome, and you should always develop your marketing strategy (using this excellent guide is a good starting point) to the fullest extent possible before moving to the "how are we going to get there" stage.
