R - It is over the larger topic of deserts, but there is a significant amount about specifically cold deserts as well as information about deserts that can apply to cold deserts themselves. 

A - There is a bibliography and works cited to other scholarly articles which ups the accuracy of the reference

P - There is no bias, it is mostly facts and characteristics and it is hard to have a bias in those cases.

R - Relevant information having to do with the wildlife and the adaptations they have to go through to survive in the cold desert. It does talk about desert, but it goes into cold desert wildlife as well.

A - Done by national geographic, one of the most acclaimed environmental oriented magazines in the world.

C - I recognize that this journal article is not current but the other parts of the CRAAP test fit make it a reliable source

R - Although the study has a lot to do with water, it has significant amounts of information on the NPP of cold deserts, as well as including cold desert in all areas of study.

A - All five authors have extensive credentials, all of which being professors in botany or forestry making this a journal article written by credible authors who know what they are studying

A - There are pages of outside resources and research that are referenced and use, adding to the credibility of the source.
