In Las Vegas, a timeless cocktail blended with the great History of the world

In Las Vegas, a timeless cocktail blended with the great History of the world | The Cognac and its vineyards | Scoop.it

Vegas loves to test your limits. If you think a $15 to $20 cocktail is overpriced, think again. There are some decadent drinks in Sin City that can literally empty your bank account.

1914 Sidecar is one of them.

Why 1914 ? Because of the cognac to prepare the cocktail...

Jean-Luc Montembault's insight:

The history of this cognac is blended with the great History of the world...

This cognac is from 1914, the first year of World War I. As the story goes, the men of Segonzac, the capital city of the Grande Champagne Cognac in France, had been called upon to fight on the Western Front.

After their departure, the women who remained behind distilled a small batch of the region’s famous tipple – the Ferrand Cognac Memoire 1914.

Today enjoy some time with a timeless cocktail...

Instead of Las Vegas, you may also come to Segonzac and trace the history of the world in search of exceptionally old cognacs.
