Health Coaching: An Update on the National Consortium for Credentialing of Health & Wellness Coaches

Mike Rucker's insight:

Two weeks ago, the executive committee of the National Consortium for Credentialing Health & Wellness Coaches met in Arizona to finalize standards for certification of coaches and accreditation of health and wellness coach training and education programs, a grandfathering/mothering phase, and a timeline. It has been a five year volunteer effort to get to this milestone. This is great news as any kind of legitimate credentialing has been a long time coming.

Both sides of this debate are important. On one hand you don't want your personal biometric data being used to effect your insurance premiums (news flash: your social stream data already is). On the other hand interoperability depends on open systems. Time will tell how this all plays out.

I begin with DISC ( http://new.personality-insights.com/ ) on everyone, and then proceed, saves a lot of time guessing... In my 40 yrs moving people from one mind set to another, or one location to another a hungry person is much easier to move... Those that are not hungry won't move until they are uncomfortable enough...

 

So always love to serve people and use things  and you will drive most anyone to follow your lead as you help them achieve their real needs...
