Many companies and marketing gurus make the mistake of assuming a landing page opt-in is a hot lead, or someone with a lot of interest in your product or service.  Making this hasty assumption doesn’t allow an effective filtering process.  This causes marketing dollars and time being spent on a lead that has not been nurtured very well and could easily be “turned off” by receiving an immediate phone call from an appointment-hungry sales person.

 

A hot lead is much more than just a hand-raiser.  In fact, to nurture a cold lead into a hot lead, it often takes 5-7 "touches" before they are ready to make a close.
