The All-American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret

Music video by The All-American Rejects performing Dirty Little Secret. This song reminds me of Tom from 'The Great Gatsby" because from the very beginning he is married to Daisy and dating Myrtle.  Myrtle is sorta like his "Dirty Little Secret" because he doesn't want to leave Daisy  he just wants her to stay a secret. And if she tells anyone she's just another regret. Just like song says. In the book she kept mentioning Daisy's name and that upsets him because he doesn't want anyone to know about what's going on. When Daisy finally finds out she decides to get her own "Dirty Little Secret" and dates Gatsby. This song actually describes quite a bit of characters in "The Great Gatsby" because most of them seem to be cheating on thier spouse.

21 Signs Your Husband Is Having An Affair

Tom did show a lot of these signs through out the book such as taking private phone calls, spent a lot of time with other people, He picked fights with her, He was extremely angry, but then again that might just be him normaly. His attitude did change but then once he realized he was going to lose Daisy he became much more caring and didn't want her to go. Maybe Tom wanted her just so Gatsby couldn't have her.
